" This is Sung Hojin, the executive director of the project 『 Development of Non-utilized source based biomass plant demonstration technology 』supported by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement.
This project is a tri-generation technical development that manufactures electricity, steam, and cold water simultaneously utilizing non-utilized renewable resource such as bagasse which is the byproduct of sugarcane and it is expected to be installed at the sugarcane processing factory site at TTC(Thanh Thanh Cong) located near Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and it is expected to be implemented until December of 2025 ,invested with a total of 28 billion won including private matching.
With the meaning of spreading and supplying the eco-friendly biomass technology of Korea to Southeast Asia by having 11 domestic institutions (Institute for Advanced Engineering, University of Seoul, YuSeong Co., Ltd., Dohwa Engineering Co., Ltd., Korea Ceramic Engineering and Technology, Enz E&C Co., Ltd., Sungkyunkwan University, E&C Power Co., Ltd., ATR Co., Ltd., Bio GET CO.,Ltd., Daewoo Global Management Institute) participate and 3 overseas institutions (TTC Group, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology,UN-HABITAT) support, I am very glad about the launching of K-BEST(Korea-Biomass eco-Energy Southeast asia Technology development) research group.
This research and development project is targeting construction of customized biomass plant based on the characteristics and demand of Vietnam and reduction of operational cost, remote monitoring and maintenance for smart integration operation management system, and establishment of Korean full-cycle demonstration platform packaging socialization support solutions for promotion of smooth project at overseas local sites. Our K-BEST research group will endeavor to successfully implement this project and realize the New Southern 5 Bridge that supply · spread to South-East Asia countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Philippine based on the demonstration platform in the future.
